About Us

I grew up on a small coffee farm in Kenya, so when I moved to the U.S. as a young adult, it was a joy to see Kenyan coffee on grocery store shelves. What stood out, though, was the gap between what consumers were paying for a bag of single origin coffee — and what I had seen farmers back home earn for their cherry.

Many years later, I returned to Kenya and spent months on coffee farms, digging deep into the value chain. In 2023, Kitale Coffee was born — a partnership between three family friends with roots in both Kenya and the U.S.

Our mission is simple: to bring you exceptional coffees from across Kenya — including both familiar flavor profiles and lesser-known profiles from newer coffee-producing regions — while strengthening direct relationships with smallholder farmers. We focus on quality, traceability, and building a more equitable model from the ground up.

I hope this journey brings you joy in every cup, uplifts producers at origin, and connects us all a little closer through coffee.

Thanks for being part of it.
